General Manager – Construction

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned General Manager – Construction to steer our large‑scale building programmes across the UAE. The role demands strategic vision, operational excellence, and the ability to deliver complex residential, commercial and high‑rise projects on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for all construction activities.
• Oversee planning, execution and delivery of multiple projects from inception to hand‑over.
• Develop and implement construction strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Manage project budgets, schedules, resources and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Construction Managers, consultants, contractors and internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, authority requirements, quality standards and HSE policies.
• Monitor progress, identify risks and apply corrective actions.
• Handle contract management, cost control, variations and commercial performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Report performance metrics and strategic updates to senior management.
• Establish best practices for execution, quality management and continuous improvement.
• Lead recruitment, mentoring and development of construction management teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in construction, including senior management roles.
• Proven track record delivering large‑scale residential, commercial and high‑rise projects.
• Deep knowledge of UAE construction practices, regulations, contracts and authority requirements.
• Strong commercial, negotiation and decision‑making abilities.
