General Practitioner (GP) – Dentistry

About the role

The University’s dental clinic is seeking a qualified General Practitioner (GP) in Dentistry to deliver comprehensive oral health services to a diverse patient base. The role involves clinical care, patient education, and collaboration with specialist colleagues while ensuring compliance with UAE health regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct full dental examinations, record medical and dental histories, and establish accurate diagnoses.
• Perform general dental procedures such as preventive care, scaling, and restorations within the scope of practice.
• Provide pre‑ and post‑treatment instructions, follow‑up care, and obtain informed consent.
• Identify cases requiring specialist referral and coordinate referrals to orthodontists, oral surgeons, periodontists, endodontists, or prosthodontists.
• Maintain detailed patient records in the electronic system and ensure infection‑control standards are met.
• Support the clinic’s marketing initiatives, including social‑media content and promotional offers, under management approval.

Required profile

• BDS or equivalent dental degree.
• Valid MOHAP license (or eligibility) to practice as a General Dentist; DHA/HAAD holders must obtain MOHAP licensure.
• Minimum three years of clinical dental experience.
• Post‑graduate training or documented experience in a dental specialty is an advantage.
