General Technician

About the role

We are seeking a proactive General Technician to join our hotel team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for keeping all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems operating smoothly, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment throughout the property.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions quickly and accurately, and implement corrective actions.
• Carry out regular inspections of facilities to identify potential issues before they affect operations.
• Install and commission new equipment in accordance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations, maintaining professionalism and urgency.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, equipment status and repairs.
• Collaborate with other departments to support seamless facility operations and cross‑functional needs.
• Follow all safety protocols, regulatory requirements and company procedures.
• Assist with inventory management of tools, parts and supplies.
• Participate in preventive‑maintenance planning and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or vocational certificate in a relevant technical field.
• Minimum two years of hands‑on experience as a general or maintenance technician.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform a variety of maintenance tasks safely.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
