General Technician – Maintenance & Guest Services

About the role

We are looking for a General Technician to respond to guest repair requests and ensure the smooth operation of hotel facilities. The role involves routine maintenance, preventive care, and quick resolution of issues across mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions and perform corrective actions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic/electronic systems.
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and replace light bulbs, A/C filters and electrical switches/outlets.
• Program televisions, manage housekeeping and engineering inventory, and input air‑handler schedules.
• Use lockout/tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Maintain landscaping, external sprinklers and handle basic vehicle upkeep.
• Document daily activities, report safety hazards and follow company safety policies.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic controls, carpentry and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 lb unaided and perform heavier lifts with assistance.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and good communication with guests and team members.
