Geotechnical Engineer – Site Investigation & Reporting

About the role

SGS is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to lead site investigations and deliver comprehensive engineering reports. The role combines field supervision, data analysis, and laboratory coordination to support client projects across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise geotechnical investigations and site assessments.
• Prepare factual and interpretative engineering reports according to client specifications.
• Derive soil parameters and conduct engineering analyses, including shallow and deep foundation design and liquefaction assessment.
• Prepare and manage laboratory testing schedules.
• Assist in handling data from fieldwork and laboratory testing.

Required profile

• Master's Technology in Geotechnical Engineering with UAE MOE equivalency.
• Abu Dhabi Municipality approved license.
• Minimum 5‑6 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer in an ISO 17025:2017 accredited laboratory.
• Experience in Abu Dhabi is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with GINT software.
• Expertise in shallow and deep foundation analysis.
• Liquefaction analysis capability.
• Laboratory testing procedures and scheduling.
• Data management for geotechnical projects.
