Government Relations Director, UAE

About the role

The Government Relations Director will lead SHEIN’s public‑policy analysis and advocacy in the United Arab Emirates. Reporting to senior management, you will shape policy positions, build strategic partnerships, and translate government engagement into commercial growth for the brand.

Key responsibilities

• Anticipate, monitor and assess policy and regulatory developments affecting SHEIN’s business in the UAE.
• Prepare concise reports and risk‑mitigation recommendations for senior leaders and relevant business units.
• Identify, engage and cultivate relationships with government officials, regulators, NGOs, academia, think‑tanks, media and industry associations.
• Design and execute advocacy plans that turn policy engagement into tangible market‑access outcomes.
• Collaborate with global government, public‑relations, sustainability, finance, legal, marketing and supply‑chain teams to align corporate positions.
• Work with PR colleagues to develop strategic communications supporting policy objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in government relations, public affairs or policy analysis, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of how politics, business, finance, sustainability, technology and international relations intersect.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills.
