Graduate Engineer – Transport Planning & Mobility (UAE National)

About the role

WSP is looking for a recent graduate who is an Emirati national to join its transport planning team in Abu Dhabi. You will support the delivery of sustainable mobility solutions across a range of infrastructure projects, gaining hands‑on experience in traffic analysis, modelling and field data collection.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in analysing traffic flow, congestion points and infrastructure capacity.
• Support the development and optimisation of transport models to improve network performance.
• Contribute to sustainable mobility initiatives such as public transport, cycling, walking and shared‑mobility solutions.
• Conduct field surveys, traffic counts and travel‑time studies.
• Prepare reports, presentations and technical documentation summarising findings and recommendations.
• Participate in feasibility studies, environmental impact assessments and compliance reviews.

Required profile

• UAE national with a valid Family Book.
• Bachelor’s degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture or a related field.
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Academic projects, internships or practical exposure to transportation planning or traffic engineering.

Required skills

• Familiarity with transport planning software such as SYNCHRO, VISSIM or SIDRA.
• Knowledge of transportation planning principles, traffic flow theory and mobility strategies.
• Experience with fieldwork, data collection and survey techniques (advantageous).
