Ground Support Equipment Mechanic

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic to join flydubai’s maintenance team at Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum (DWC) airports. The role involves performing scheduled and unscheduled inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of GSE, workshop equipment and vehicles, ensuring compliance with OEM standards and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out all allocated scheduled and non‑scheduled inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs on flydubai GSE and vehicles on time and to full completion.
• Follow OEM technical manuals and user guides to achieve the highest quality standards.
• Document all activities using approved company methods and systems.
• Perform calibration, load testing and proof testing of equipment at required intervals.
• Manage major equipment inspections and repairs through approved third‑party vendors.
• Develop inspection and maintenance schedules for new equipment in line with OEM guidance.
• Maintain up‑to‑date personal training records and support the GSE department with additional operational or technical tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in a GSE engineering workshop environment.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Ability to read and comply with Information Security (ISR) policies.
