Group Financial Controller

About the role

We are seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a multi‑entity trading group operating across more than 25 jurisdictions. The role reports directly to the CFO/CEO and will be based in Dubai, overseeing consolidation, tax, treasury and reporting responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close for 25+ entities and prepare consolidated IFRS financial statements.
• Manage cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity monitoring and treasury operations.
• Produce management reporting packs for the CFO, CEO and Board with clear commentary.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Lead UAE corporate tax compliance, VAT registration, returns, reconciliations and respond to FTA enquiries and audits.
• Advise on transfer pricing, cross‑border transactions and tax‑efficient structuring.
• Design and maintain internal controls, coordinate the annual external audit and ensure compliance with UAE regulatory frameworks (DFSA/ADGM).
• Drive continuous improvement of ERP and financial systems and support finance IT security management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) required.
• Minimum 10 years progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years in a senior financial control role within a trading company.
• Deep, hands‑on expertise in UAE VAT, including complex cases and FTA audits.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Corporate Tax law and its application to trading structures.
• Extensive experience managing tax compliance in a multi‑entity or cross‑border environment.
• Current residence in Dubai; fluency in English.
