Group Insurance Manager - Logistics And Marine Liability

About the role

The Group Insurance Manager will lead insurance activities for DP World’s Logistics and Marine Liability portfolio, reporting to the Group Director Manager for Logistics. This role ensures a coordinated insurance strategy across multiple regions, delivering cost‑effective and compliant coverage for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Review and negotiate commercial contracts for logistics and marine lines, providing risk transfer and pricing advice.
• Manage and administer global and operation‑specific insurance contracts to ensure appropriate coverage.
• Escalate issues through Group Insurance channels and act as a referral point for regional teams.
• Deliver workshops, presentations and training on best insurance practices to internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote insurance products such as Shipper’s Interest and Cargo War Insurance and supply statistical reports to management.
• Oversee renewal processes, gather information, validate exposure data and support market submissions.
• Integrate newly acquired companies into Group Insurance programmes, assessing risk exposure and communicating procedures.
• Monitor premium payments, issue certificates, produce monthly statistics and respond to coverage queries.
• Provide timely declarations to insurers, analyse market feedback and protect DP World’s interests.
• Coordinate and manage claims under designated policies, including large loss situations.

Required profile

• Experience in managing insurance programmes for logistics, freight forwarding or marine operations.
• Proven ability to interpret contractual language and advise on risk transfer.
• Strong analytical skills to assess exposure, premiums and market conditions.
• Excellent communication skills for workshops, training and stakeholder engagement.
