Group Internal Auditor

About the role

We are looking for a Group Internal Auditor to design and lead the internal audit and risk framework for a fast‑growing Food & Beverage group operating in the UAE and Kuwait. Based in Dubai, you will strengthen governance, improve controls and provide independent assurance across multiple brands and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the group’s internal audit, control and risk assessment frameworks.
• Design audit methodologies, policies and reporting standards.
• Create and maintain enterprise‑wide risk registers and annual risk‑based audit plans.
• Conduct operational, financial, compliance and process audits across retail stores, warehouses, manufacturing sites and support functions.
• Perform surprise audits, cash and inventory counts, and site inspections.
• Analyse ERP, POS and payroll data to identify trends, risks and control weaknesses.
• Lead investigations into loss, fraud, policy breaches and operational irregularities.
• Drive loss‑prevention initiatives covering cash handling, inventory control and procurement.
• Prepare audit reports with actionable recommendations and monitor remediation.
• Provide regular assurance reporting to senior leadership and travel periodically across the UAE and Kuwait.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Audit or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CA, CIA or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal audit, risk, controls or compliance.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and internal controls.
• Experience auditing retail, manufacturing and supply‑chain environments.
