GSE Mechanic – Docking

About the role

The GSE Mechanic – Docking provides essential aircraft maintenance support by supplying and maintaining access platforms, stands and other ground‑support equipment. Working on the Emirates Engineering Base, you will ensure that all equipment used for aircraft repair, modification and line‑maintenance is safe, reliable and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supply platforms, stands and access equipment to support aircraft maintenance activities.
• Perform basic servicing, component replacement and inspections of Emirates and third‑party aircraft under the supervision of licensed engineers.
• Conduct daily safety and operational inspections of all access equipment.
• Deploy, adjust and remove access equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and recognised engineering practices.
• Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs and upgrades in line with Civil Aviation Authority and manufacturer requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organised work site and ensure all tools are serviceable.
• Record all shift activities accurately in logbooks and the maintenance tracking system.
• Guide and train junior staff on equipment maintenance procedures.
• Create and close job cards using the in‑house tracking software.
• Notify senior staff of spare‑part and tool requirements.

Required profile

• 10 years of schooling or an equivalent engineering trade certificate.
• Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, preferably in aviation.
• UAE driving licence is an asset.

Required skills

• Access‑equipment maintenance and repair.
• Safety inspections and compliance with civil‑aviation regulations.
• Use of maintenance and operation tracking software.
• Interpretation of manufacturer guidelines and engineering standards.
