Head of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

About the role

KBR is seeking a senior HSE leader to oversee health, safety and environmental performance on a large on‑shore EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role reports to senior project management and ensures that all safety standards and regulatory requirements are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Verify readiness of systems and subsystems for MC and RFSU certificate issuance.
• Monitor and approve the close‑out of punch‑list items within the HSE scope.
• Ensure completion and hand‑over methodology complies with contractual documents and client expectations.
• Lead HSE compliance audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Coordinate with construction, engineering and client teams to embed HSE best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years of relevant construction experience, preferably on mega EPC projects.
• Proven on‑shore site experience in the GCC region.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large HSE programs and lead multidisciplinary teams.
