Head of Internal Audit

About the role

Orient Takaful PJSC, part of the Al‑Futtaim Group, is seeking a Head of Internal Audit to lead independent assurance activities across the organisation and its subsidiaries. The role ensures robust governance, risk management and compliance with Central Bank of UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a risk‑based annual audit plan approved by the Board Audit Committee, covering finance, operations, IT and compliance.
• Maintain and periodically review the Internal Audit Charter, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.
• Coordinate audit activities with external auditors and regulatory bodies, facilitating timely reporting and remediation.
• Lead the internal audit team, providing guidance, coaching and performance management.
• Conduct independent evaluations of internal controls, risk frameworks and audit findings, delivering actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, auditing, risk management, insurance or a related discipline.
• Professional audit or risk certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, CISA, CII or ACII are strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years of internal or external audit experience within an insurance or financial institution.
• Deep understanding of insurance operations, regulatory frameworks, risk governance and internal control environments.
