Head of Legal Operations

About the role

As the Head of Legal Operations at Kempinski, you will lead a dedicated legal team within a world‑class hospitality brand. You will provide strategic legal guidance across a global portfolio of hotels and residences, ensuring the protection and growth of the brand in both emerging and established markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review and negotiation of complex contracts, including Hotel & Residences Management Agreements, technical services agreements and franchise contracts.
• Advise on corporate governance matters such as secretarial duties, joint ventures and international entity management.
• Manage external counsel worldwide for litigation, arbitration and labour disputes, focusing on cost‑effectiveness and favourable outcomes.
• Support real‑estate transactions, leasing and construction legalities for new hotel developments.
• Oversee the global trademark portfolio and provide counsel on marketing, IP licensing and sponsorship agreements.
• Lead and develop a team of four legal specialists.

Required profile

• Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent from a top‑tier university; qualified to practice in a major jurisdiction with bar certification.
• 8–12 years post‑qualification experience, preferably from a top‑tier law firm or asset‑management firm; hospitality experience is a strong plus.
• Fluent English required; additional language proficiency is advantageous.
