Head Sommelier – Beachfront French Riviera Concept

About the role

We are launching a new La Petite Maison beachfront venue in Dubai and are looking for a Head Sommelier to shape the wine experience. You will lead the wine program, create a list that reflects the French‑Riviera spirit and ensure every guest receives a warm, effortless wine service.

Key responsibilities

• Design, curate and continuously evolve a wine list that complements the menu and the LPM brand.
• Provide personalized wine recommendations and pairings to guests, creating memorable moments.
• Lead, train and develop the sommelier team and educate the wider floor on wine knowledge.
• Oversee cellar operations, inventory, ordering and stock management to guarantee availability of the right bottle.
• Taste, approve and manage condition and storage of all wines before service.
• Drive premium wine sales and organise tastings, wine dinners and special events.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of experience in luxury hospitality, with 3–5 years in a senior wine leadership role.
• Formal wine certification such as WSET (or equivalent).
• Passion for sharing wine in a warm, unpretentious manner.
• Strong background in list building, cellar and inventory management.
• Excellent hosting and teaching abilities.
• Knowledge of French and Mediterranean wine regions is a plus.
