Health, Safety & Environment Officer – Dubai

About the role

The Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer will oversee civil and construction activities on cable laying projects, ensuring that all site work complies with company and client HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise ongoing civil and construction activities at project sites.
• Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with approved HSE procedures, policies, and standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and identify potential hazards and unsafe practices.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively.
• Monitor compliance with TAQA/TRANSCO HSE requirements and project‑specific safety standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Previous experience on TRANSCO/DEWA projects is highly preferred.
• Experience in 132 kV cable laying projects is a strong advantage.
• Proven experience in site safety supervision within civil works or construction projects.
• Good knowledge of HSE procedures, risk assessment, and safe work practices.
• Strong communication, observation, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with multicultural site teams and contractors.
