HSE Officer

About the role

Waagner Biro Bridge Services Gulf LLC is seeking an HSE Officer to ensure compliance with QCS 2014, applicable HSE regulations, and project‑specific safety requirements while fostering a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily HSE inspections, site audits, and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and safe working practices.
• Review, verify, and monitor Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) requirements, Risk Assessments (RA) and Method Statements (MS) for suitability and compliance.
• Deliver site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness training sessions.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, hazardous occurrences, and near misses, implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports, maintain accurate records, and support internal and external HSE audits.
• Coordinate emergency response drills, monitor environmental compliance, and liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on HSE matters.

Required profile

• Sound knowledge of QCS 2014 and applicable HSE regulations.
• NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – mandatory.
• Minimum 4 years of HSE experience in the GCC region.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
• Strong communication, report‑writing, analytical, problem‑solving and incident investigation skills.
