Heavy Duty Driver

About the role

The Heavy Duty Driver is responsible for operating DSV’s company vehicles to transport goods safely and on schedule. You will ensure compliance with traffic regulations, maintain vehicle condition, and provide excellent service to customers throughout the UAE and GCC region.

Key responsibilities

• Drive company vehicles in accordance with traffic rules to pick up and deliver goods as per customer schedules.
• Maintain the vehicle, report any issues immediately to the supervisor and workshop team.
• Prioritize deliveries, suggest route improvements, and complete trip sheets at the end of each shift.
• Report damages, shortages, and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Submit delivery notes to the Operations Control Center within 24 hours and comply with HSE requirements.
• Supervise distribution assistants and report misconduct promptly.

Required profile

• Matriculation or equivalent education.
• Minimum two years of driving experience in the UAE or any GCC country.
• Valid UAE driving licence for the relevant vehicle category.
• Good knowledge of UAE/GCC road regulations and safety standards.

Required skills

• Basic communication skills.
• Aptitude for safety and adherence to traffic rules.
• Good eyesight during day and night.
