Heavy Vehicle Driver

About the role

The company is seeking a qualified Heavy Vehicle Driver to operate waste‑management trucks and related equipment. The role involves collecting, transporting and delivering municipal, commercial or industrial waste safely to designated disposal sites.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy vehicles such as waste collection trucks, skip loaders, hook loaders and vacuum tankers.
• Load, secure and transport waste without spillage or property damage.
• Conduct daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any defects.
• Operate vehicle‑mounted hydraulic systems, lifting mechanisms and compactors where required.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules and supervisor instructions.
• Park the vehicle safely at the end of each shift.

Required profile

• Valid Heavy Vehicle License (minimum two years old).
• At least one year of experience driving similar heavy vehicles in the waste‑management sector.
• Minimum age of 25 years.
• Matriculation certificate.

• Vehicle inspection and basic maintenance reporting.
