Homeroom Teacher – Kindergarten (KG)

About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) Khalifa City Branch is looking for an enthusiastic Homeroom Teacher to lead a Kindergarten (KG) class. The successful candidate will nurture young learners, deliver the American curriculum and create a supportive, engaging classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver age‑appropriate lessons aligned with Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts and Mathematics.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain an organized learning space.
• Integrate educational technology such as interactive whiteboards and Google Workspace for Education into daily instruction.
• Assess student progress using US‑based early childhood assessment tools and provide timely feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the school’s continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education; Master’s preferred.
• Valid teaching license and MOE equivalency for foreign qualifications.
• At least 4 years of full‑time experience teaching KG in an international school setting.
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity for a diverse UAE community.

Required skills

• Proficiency with interactive whiteboards.
• Experience using Google Workspace for Education.
