Hostess – Luxury Hotel & Residence

About the role

We are seeking a friendly and professional Hostess to join the front‑of‑house team at SLS Dubai Hotel & Residences. In this role you will be the first point of contact for guests entering our restaurant and bar, ensuring a warm welcome and smooth seating experience in a luxury 5‑star environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a courteous and diplomatic relationship with all guests wishing to enter the restaurant or bar.
• Accurately record reservation details (time, date, party size, name/room number, contact).
• Prepare table allocations from the reservation book for each service period.
• Guide guests to their tables promptly according to their reservation.
• Enforce hotel door policies, age restrictions and liquor‑licensing regulations.
• Ensure continuous hostess coverage at the reception/welcome desk.
• Answer the phone within two rings in a courteous manner.
• Monitor and apply fair seating policies for service staff.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years experience in a public‑contact role, preferably in an upscale restaurant, lounge or lifestyle brand.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
• Positive, team‑oriented attitude and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer systems and point‑of‑sale (POS) software.
