HSE Advisor

About the role

The HSE Advisor will lead the implementation and monitoring of health, safety and environmental policies across projects in Abu Dhabi. This senior position requires close collaboration with clients, internal teams and governmental agencies to ensure full compliance and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor company HSE policies, procedures and best practices.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of HSE Officers, Engineers and Road Safety Coordinators.
• Engage directly with clients to ensure project‑specific HSE compliance.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify hazards and verify regulatory adherence.
• Develop and update HSE training modules and deliver safety awareness programs.
• Liaise with governmental agencies and internal stakeholders to stay current on regulations.
• Monitor contractors' HSE plans and performance against company standards.
• Investigate incidents and near‑misses, determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement and safety consciousness.
• Prepare monthly HSE performance reports and metrics.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of HSE experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas sector in Abu Dhabi.
• Valid driving licence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and organisational skills.
• Willingness to reliably commute to or relocate to Abu Dhabi.
