HSE Engineer – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Parsons is seeking a qualified HSE Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will support senior construction site leadership by implementing and managing health, safety, and environmental processes that protect people and property.

Key responsibilities

• Assist senior site representatives in establishing and managing ESHARP and Parsons SH&E processes.
• Develop site‑specific work plans, compliance programs, training, and orientation aligned with regulations and client requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to evaluate contractors' SH&E performance and culture.
• Audit projects and worksites, produce written audit reports, and recommend corrective actions.
• Implement occupational injury and incident reporting, conduct investigations and root‑cause analyses.
• Perform trend analysis on audit, inspection, and incident data and prepare regular reports.
• Represent the SH&E manager on site, supervise emergency response and first‑aid teams.
• Oversee new‑hire safety orientation and other safety‑related training.
• Review risk assessments and provide technical assistance for safety planning.

Required profile

• Experience advising senior construction personnel on HSE management.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver SH&E compliance and training programs.
• Strong audit, inspection, and incident investigation skills.
• Ability to analyze safety data and produce actionable reports.
• Effective communication with regulators, insurers, and internal stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ESHARP management system and Parsons SH&E processes.
• Experience with safety audits, incident investigations, and root‑cause analysis.
• Proficiency in developing risk assessments and safety work plans.
