HSE Engineer – Construction Safety Management

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to join its Abu Dhabi team. You will support senior construction site leadership by implementing and managing the ESHARP and Parsons SH&E processes, ensuring a safe work environment for personnel and assets.

Key responsibilities

• Advise senior site representatives on establishing and managing ESHARP and SH&E processes.
• Develop site‑specific work plans, compliance programs, training, and orientation aligned with UAE regulations and client requirements.
• Collaborate with SH&E, project and program managers to evaluate contractor safety performance.
• Audit projects and worksites against corporate and client standards, produce written audit reports.
• Implement occupational injury and incident reporting, conduct investigations and root‑cause analyses.
• Perform trend analysis on audit findings, inspections, and incident reports; deliver regular analysis reports.
• Represent the SH&E manager on site, supervise emergency response and first‑aid teams.
• Prepare and review audit, inspection, and OSH statistics reports for regulatory and insurance inspections.
• Oversee new‑hire safety orientation and related training programs.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction safety management.
• In‑depth knowledge of UAE and Abu Dhabi health and safety regulations.
• Valid UAE driver’s license.

Required skills

• Proficiency in developing and implementing SH&E compliance programs.
• Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and root‑cause analysis.
• Ability to produce detailed safety reports and trend analyses.
