HSE Manager – Abu Dhabi

About the role

Gulf Contractors Company (GCC) is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead the Health, Safety and Environment program for its projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on developing, implementing and continuously improving the project HSE Management System in line with ADOSH regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the project HSE management system compliant with company standards and UAE regulations.
• Identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and ensure effective control measures are applied.
• Deliver HSE inductions, training sessions, toolbox talks and safety awareness programs for staff and subcontractors.
• Perform site inspections, audits and reviews to verify compliance with HSE procedures and legal requirements.
• Investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses, and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Monitor environmental performance and ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
• Maintain accurate HSE records and prepare periodic performance and compliance reports.
• Lead the HSE team and provide guidance to project management and stakeholders on HSE matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 15 years of HSE experience, preferably in civil engineering or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of ADOSH requirements and UAE HSE regulations.
• Proven ability to develop and manage HSE management systems.
