HSE Manager

About the role

Worley is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead health, safety, security and environment activities for a major project in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures HSSE goals are achieved, supports safe delivery and handover, and provides HSE leadership at the program level.

Key responsibilities

• Champion the project safety culture and lead engagement activities.
• Manage a team of HSE professionals, including Lead HSE Engineers and Senior HSE Officers.
• Develop, implement and maintain HSE programs, procedures and annual plans.
• Monitor and report HSSEQ performance, trends and achievements.
• Ensure compliance with HSE legislation, Owner standards and EPC contract requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
• Maintain competency in PTW systems, gas testing, H2S awareness and breathing apparatus.
• Analyse incidents, apply root‑cause techniques and develop corrective actions.
• Prepare emergency response procedures and ensure medical evacuation arrangements are in place.
• Coordinate HSE input during the EPC phase and oversee design and construction HSE processes.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in HSE management, preferably in EPC or energy projects.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to analyse incidents, develop emergency plans and drive continuous improvement.
• In‑depth knowledge of HSE legislation and industry best practices.
