HSE Manager – Offshore Water Injection Project (UZ Island)

About the role

The HSE Manager will lead Health, Safety and Environmental management for the offshore brownfield water injection project on UZ Island. The role ensures compliance with company, client and regulatory requirements while fostering a strong safety culture throughout construction, commissioning and modification phases.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project HSE Management Plan.
• Lead risk assessments, HAZID, HAZOP, SIMOPS, JSA and other safety studies.
• Manage Permit-to-Work and Control of Work processes during offshore activities.
• Conduct incident investigations, root-cause analysis and corrective-action tracking.
• Perform regular HSE inspections, audits and site visits, and report performance KPIs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science or related field; NEBOSH, NVQ Level 6, CSP, GradIOSH/CMIOSH preferred.
• 20‑25 + years of HSE experience in oil & gas, with at least 5 years in a managerial role and extensive offshore EPC, brownfield and water‑injection experience.

Required skills

• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification (highly desirable).
• ISO 14001 Lead Auditor certification (highly desirable).
• Proficiency in conducting HAZID, HAZOP and SIMOPS studies.
• Expertise in Permit-to-Work and Control-of-Work management.
• Strong incident investigation and root‑cause analysis capabilities.
