Electrical Engineer – MEP Coordination (Dubai)

About the role

Parsons is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to coordinate electro‑mechanical (MEP) construction activities across its Dubai projects. Reporting to the Resident Engineer, the role works closely with structural, utility, materials and survey teams to ensure safe, sustainable infrastructure delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with utility agencies and contractors to obtain construction approvals and manage design changes.
• Monitor material submissions, approvals and update the Materials Schedule to prevent delays.
• Oversee inspection, surveying and testing requests for all MEP works.
• Review and approve contractor MEP shop drawings as delegated by the Resident Engineer.
• Prepare minutes of MEP meetings and track action items.
• Lead inspections, testing and material reconciliation required for commissioning and final NOC issuance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven management experience supervising construction and infrastructure projects, including road and street‑lighting (LED) systems.
• Professional Engineer registration may be required.
• Strong ability to build relationships with clients, consultants, contractors and government authorities such as DEWA, RTA and DM.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD (Computer‑Aided Design) software.
• Experience using construction management tools and techniques for MEP projects.
• Knowledge of MEP coordination processes and standards.
