HSE Specialist (Emirati Talent)

About the role

We are seeking an Emirati HSE Specialist to join EDGE Group in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on maintaining a safe workplace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting continuous improvement of safety practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor health and safety policies, procedures and regulations.
• Distribute occupational safety and health (OSH) materials, SOPs, training notifications and updates to relevant departments.
• Document, investigate and follow‑up on accidents, recommending corrective actions.
• Conduct and review risk assessments for equipment and operations.
• Inspect workplaces periodically to identify hazards and ensure timely remediation.
• Maintain accurate health and safety training records.
• Carry out regular inspections of fire extinguishers, hose cabinets and first‑aid kits.
• Assist during external regulatory inspections and support incident reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Occupational Safety and Health Diploma or NEBOSH General Certificate/International Diploma.
• ADVETI Certified OSH Practitioner.
• Strong knowledge of UAE occupational health and safety regulations.
