I&C Engineer – Control Systems Specialist

About the role

Act as the technical advisor for instrumentation and control (I&C) engineering and control systems scope during developer bid reviews, RFP preparation, and specification development for large‑scale power projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical due diligence, verify compliance with project and off‑taker requirements, and identify risks and deviations.
• Prepare clarifications, support technical evaluation, and contribute to contract schedules and negotiation support.
• Review and comment on IPP/PPA/EPC technical schedules, guarantees, performance clauses, and acceptance testing requirements.
• Coordinate with design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Professional registration, chartership, or OEM/utility/off‑taker experience preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in CCGT/thermal plant I&C, DCS/SIS engineering, bid evaluation, FAT/SAT, and commissioning support.

Required skills

• DCS/PLC engineering and integration.
• GT/ST control integration, HRSG controls, BMS, ESD/SIS.
• Field instrumentation, control narratives, SIL assessment, cybersecurity.
• Historian, SCADA/LDC/dispatch interface.
• IEC 61511, IEC 62443, ISA 18.2, ISA 84, IEC 61131, IEC 61850, IEC 60870‑5‑104 standards.
• DCS/SCADA architecture standards and commercial/contract awareness.
