Industrialization & Supplier Development Engineer II

About the role

We are looking for an Engineer II to lead industrialization and supplier development activities for POWERTECH turbofan, microjet and piston engine programs. The role will assess suppliers, drive capability improvements and provide on‑site technical support while building expertise in core manufacturing commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct supplier process assessments covering manufacturing methods, equipment, tooling, metrology and process controls.
• Prepare technical assessment reports and define supplier development actions.
• Execute development plans, track actions to closure and support work instructions, routings, operation sheets and CNC program control.
• Perform time studies, cycle‑time analysis, equipment‑utilisation and capacity studies, including bottleneck analysis and run‑at‑rate demonstrations.
• Carry out process capability studies, APQP deliverables (process flows, PFMEA, control plans) and review supplier documentation for technical completeness.
• Prepare gate evidence, support FAI/PPAP readiness and provide hands‑on support for machining and sheet‑metal issues.
• Participate in 8D/root‑cause investigations and coordinate with Engineering, Supply Chain and Product Quality Engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or Materials Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years experience in aerospace manufacturing engineering, industrialization, supplier quality or supplier development.
• Hands‑on experience with machining or sheet‑metal fabrication.
• Willingness to work regularly on supplier sites and travel as required.

• GD&T and drawing interpretation.

• CAD/CAM and CNC programming knowledge.
• 8D structured problem‑solving.
• Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace alloys.
