Information Technology Officer

About the role

We are seeking an Information Technology Officer to support the day‑to‑day technology operations of Al Zorah Beach Resort in Ajman. The role ensures that all IT systems, equipment and connectivity function smoothly for staff and guests as the resort prepares for its grand opening in 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level IT support to employees across all departments, handling hardware, software and network issues.
• Assist authorised users with hotel systems such as Opera, point‑of‑sale (POS) terminals, key‑card access, computers, printers, telephones and Wi‑Fi.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to email, printers, scanners, laptops and in‑room guest connectivity.
• Escalate unresolved incidents to the IT Supervisor or external service providers.
• Coordinate repair, installation and maintenance of IT equipment, ensuring timely return to service.
• Perform daily checks of key systems, maintain hardware inventory, software licences and support logs.
• Support system backups, data protection procedures and follow security protocols to safeguard confidential information.

Required profile

• Strong service mindset with the ability to assist both colleagues and guests professionally.
• Organised, calm under pressure and able to follow through on requests with discretion.
• Previous experience in IT support, preferably within a hospitality environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel management software such as Opera.
• Experience with POS and key‑card systems.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Network connectivity and Wi‑Fi configuration.
• Basic knowledge of system backups and data protection.
