Inspection Senior Engineer

About the role

RINA Consulting is seeking a Senior Inspection Engineer to join its Operations and Maintenance Engineering division in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on protecting the integrity of assets in refineries, oil & gas facilities and power plants through comprehensive corrosion management.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed corrosion risk assessments on equipment, pipelines and plant infrastructure, identifying mechanisms and potential failure modes.
• Develop and implement corrosion control strategies, recommending suitable materials, coatings and inhibitors.
• Establish and run corrosion monitoring programmes, conduct regular inspections and non‑destructive testing to detect degradation.
• Evaluate remaining useful life of assets, carry out fitness‑for‑service and risk‑based inspections, and produce lifecycle extension plans.
• Analyse inspection data, generate technical reports and communicate findings to engineering and maintenance teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corrosion engineering or inspection within refinery, oil & gas or power‑generation environments.
• Strong understanding of asset integrity, risk assessment and lifecycle management.
• Ability to work collaboratively with design, engineering and maintenance stakeholders.
