Insulator

About the role

The Insulator will join a leading EPC contractor serving the UAE oil & gas sector. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing thermal insulation on HVAC ductwork, chilled water, refrigerant lines and related equipment on on‑shore and off‑shore projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install insulation materials such as glass wool, rock wool, foam, elastomeric and calcium silicate on ducts, pipes and equipment.
• Measure, cut and fit insulation to required thickness, density and coverage according to drawings and specifications.
• Apply insulation cladding, seal joints, seams and openings using tapes, adhesives, mastics or sealants.
• Read and interpret insulation drawings, isometric layouts and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with HVAC technicians, pipe fitters and supervisors to ensure seamless workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness, handle insulation materials safely and follow all safety procedures, especially when working at heights or with fiberglass.

Required profile

• 2–5 years of experience in HVAC, MEP or oil & gas insulation works.
• Relevant technical education (ITI or equivalent).
• Willingness to work in remote locations as required.
• Strong problem‑solving, teamwork and communication abilities.

Required skills

• HVAC and industrial insulation installation.
• Use of glass wool, rock wool, foam, elastomeric and calcium silicate insulation.
• Insulation cladding application and sealing techniques.
• Interpretation of technical drawings and specifications.
• Safe operation of hand and power tools.
