Insurance Associate Lawyer – Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a qualified lawyer with 3‑4 years of post‑qualification experience to join our General Insurance team in Dubai. The role offers exposure to high‑profile regional and international disputes across a broad spectrum of insurance and reinsurance matters.

Key responsibilities

• Advise insurers, reinsurers and corporate clients on insurance and reinsurance disputes.
• Manage claims from inception to resolution, including litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
• Draft legal advice, court pleadings, witness statements and settlement documentation.
• Support partners on complex, cross‑border matters throughout the Middle East and international markets.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through commercially focused advice.
• Participate in business development, client training and networking initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers where appropriate.

Required profile

• 3‑4 years' PQE or qualified lawyer with experience in insurance and reinsurance disputes.
• Background in insurance casualty and liability coverage; London market experience is an advantage.
• Proven experience in litigation and/or arbitration.
• Fluent English (written and spoken); Arabic proficiency is a plus.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to deliver practical, economic solutions.
• Strong communication, organisational and research skills.
