Internal Audit Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an Internal Audit Specialist to support the Audit Manager in developing and executing the internal audit plan. The role will primarily involve conducting audit reviews, fieldwork, and contributing to ad‑hoc investigations, incidents and fraud reviews.

Key responsibilities

• Perform assigned audit engagements, identify issues and propose practical solutions.
• Execute audit programs and testing procedures aligned with risk and test objectives.
• Gather, review and document audit evidence to ensure robust conclusions.
• Maintain compliance with department and professional standards throughout the audit process.
• Coordinate tasks with the engagement team to deliver high‑quality, accurate results.
• Support ad‑hoc projects, investigations, incident handling and fraud reviews as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) – professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CIA or ACCA are preferred.
• 3‑5 years of experience in complex corporate audits, preferably with Big 4 or blue‑chip exposure.
• At least one year of experience working in the UAE.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ACL audit software.
• Advanced Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint skills.
• Data analysis capabilities.
