Internal Auditor & Tax Compliance Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Internal Auditor with strong tax compliance expertise to reinforce our internal controls and ensure adherence to UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations. The role works closely with the Finance team to audit processes, identify risks, and support accurate tax reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of financial and operational processes.
• Review the accuracy of accounting records and financial transactions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Review VAT and Corporate Tax returns before submission and flag compliance risks.
• Assess and improve internal controls, policies, and financial procedures.
• Perform tax health checks and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) and support tax audits when required.
• Identify financial, operational, and compliance risks and propose mitigation measures.
• Review contracts and business transactions from a VAT and tax compliance perspective.
• Prepare audit reports with practical recommendations for management.
• Support external auditors during annual audits.
• Monitor changes in UAE tax legislation and ensure timely implementation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in Internal Audit, Tax, or Finance.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate Tax regulations.
• Experience reviewing VAT returns and tax compliance.
• Excellent understanding of internal controls and risk management.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
