International Logistics & Warehouse Specialist

About the role

This position supports the delivery of international Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects by managing logistics suppliers, planning transportation, overseeing overseas warehousing, controlling costs, and mitigating delivery risks. The role works across the UAE, Turkey and Uzbekistan to ensure seamless project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Source, evaluate and manage international logistics providers for freight forwarding, ocean shipping, breakbulk/project cargo, customs clearance, warehousing and final‑mile delivery.
• Develop logistics solutions that balance schedule, cost and operational risk for each project.
• Support supplier bidding, commercial negotiations, contracting and performance management.
• Identify logistics risks such as vessel delays, port congestion, customs issues, regulatory changes and transportation constraints, and create contingency plans.
• Provide logistics cost estimates during project bidding and continuously optimise costs during execution.
• Manage overseas warehouse operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, handling aging stock, and supervising inbound/outbound activities and abnormal shipments.
• Maintain logistics and inventory KPIs and contribute to regular operational reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in international logistics, overseas warehousing or logistics procurement.
• Experience in renewable‑energy projects (BESS, solar, wind, power equipment) is preferred.
• Familiarity with project cargo, oversized equipment, dangerous‑goods transportation, multimodal transport and overseas warehousing.
• Strong supplier negotiation, contract management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluent English; additional regional languages are a plus.
• Willingness to travel or be based in the region.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) proficiency.
• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system experience.
