Inventory Materials Controller – Distribution

About the role

The Inventory Materials Controller is responsible for managing the procurement, receipt, storage and issue of consumables and spare parts for the Distribution department. The role ensures internal control, cost efficiency and seamless coordination between purchasing, operations and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory levels, prevent stock‑outs and overstock, and reconcile physical and system stock for spare parts and consumables.
• Coordinate local and overseas procurement, issue purchase orders, and work with the ENOC Group Procurement Department for approvals.
• Monitor supplier performance, follow up on quotations, and manage urgent part acquisitions for tankers.
• Process supplier invoices, release goods receipt notes, and support accounts payable to ensure timely payments.
• Analyse inventory data, produce performance reports and provide insights for budgeting and decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with HSEQ, occupational health and safety, and information security policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in material management, inventory control or a similar role.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently under pressure and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or other enterprise resource planning systems.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Data analysis capability to identify trends and support financial reporting.
