About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) at its Al Falah City campus in Abu Dhabi is seeking an inspiring Islamic Teacher for non‑Arab students. The role covers Cycle 1 (KG2‑Grade 2) and Cycle 2 (Grade 3‑Grade 5) within an American curriculum framework, fostering spiritual growth and cultural understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Islamic Studies lessons for non‑Arabic speaking learners.
• Implement differentiated instruction and varied teaching methodologies to meet diverse language proficiencies.
• Design and use formative and summative assessments aligned with the American curriculum.
• Maintain a positive, respectful classroom environment that supports both spiritual and academic development.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to monitor student progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Sharia, Quranic Sciences or a related field from an accredited university.
• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, PGDI or equivalent) attested by UAE MOFA and equivalency approved by UAE Ministry of Education.
• Minimum 2‑3 years full‑time experience teaching Islamic Studies to non‑Arab students, preferably in an American‑curriculum school.
• IELTS score of 5.5 or higher.
• Experience in the UAE or GCC is an advantage.
