IT Assistant Manager - Emiratization

About the role

The client, a well‑established organisation in Dubai, is seeking an Assistant Manager – IT (Business Applications) to lead the management, development and continuous improvement of its business applications, IT solutions and websites. The role covers the full application lifecycle, from gathering requirements to design, development, testing, deployment, optimisation and support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, maintain and enhance business applications, IT solutions and websites across multiple platforms.
• Support application upgrades, enhancements, integrations and technology improvements.
• Design, develop, code, debug and maintain applications using appropriate technologies and programming languages.
• Conduct comprehensive software testing, quality assurance and performance tuning.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, maintenance and documentation for business applications.
• Collaborate with IT security, internal IT teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure secure and reliable solutions.
• Maintain documentation for applications, databases, systems, configurations and processes.
• Implement backup procedures and ensure effective data restoration.
• Coordinate vendor relationships for delivery, support, contracts and service management.
• Support IT projects, procurement activities and provide assistance to subsidiaries and remote offices.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in IT, business applications, systems or software development.
• Strong understanding of software development and application lifecycle management.
• Good knowledge of cybersecurity principles.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of network management, system administration and cloud computing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
