IT Support Engineer

About the role

The IT Support Engineer provides technical assistance to employees, ensuring that hardware, software and network services run smoothly. The role focuses on rapid incident resolution, proactive system maintenance, and supporting day‑to‑day IT operations in a fast‑paced office environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first and second line support for hardware, software and networking issues.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
• Manage software installations, updates and license compliance.
• Monitor system performance, perform routine checks and address potential problems before they impact users.
• Create and manage user accounts, permissions and access rights.
• Log and track incidents and service requests using an IT service management tool, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Maintain clear documentation of issues, solutions and system configurations.
• Provide basic training and guidance to staff on IT usage, security and collaboration tools.
• Escalate complex problems to senior staff or external vendors as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar IT support role.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT Applications, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a customer‑service mindset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Hardware troubleshooting for desktops, laptops and printers.
• Software installation, updates and license management.
• Basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Experience using an IT service management (ITSM) tool for incident and request tracking.
