IT Support Specialist

About the role

The IT Support Specialist provides first- and second‑level technical assistance to keep the company’s IT systems and network infrastructure stable, secure, and efficient. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues, maintaining system performance, and supporting day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first‑ and second‑level support for hardware, software and networking problems via email, phone or ticketing system.
• Monitor and manage routers, switches, firewalls and wireless access points, resolving performance issues.
• Set up, configure and maintain computers, printers, servers and other IT equipment; replace or repair defective components.
• Install, update and configure software applications, ensuring compatibility and proper licensing.
• Manage Active Directory objects, including user accounts, groups and organizational units.
• Assist with server, storage and virtualization platform setup, configuration and maintenance.
• Coordinate with ISP for internet connectivity issues and ensure SLA compliance.
• Administer Windows and Linux systems, handling user accounts, permissions, file systems and security settings.
• Document solutions, maintain a knowledge base and share best practices with the team.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years experience in IT support with a focus on networking, Windows and Linux administration.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, routers, switches and firewalls.
• Proficiency in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Group Policy and PowerShell scripting.
• Experience performing MCSA‑level tasks such as server setup, maintenance and security.
