IT Support Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join the IT department of BFL Group, a leading off‑price retailer of fashion and homeware. The role involves monitoring, maintaining and troubleshooting the company’s computer systems, networks and retail technology across our stores.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware, software, printers, scanners, Wi‑Fi, POS terminals and other retail devices.
• Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring high availability.
• Provide technical support to users both on‑site and remotely, responding to service requests within agreed time‑frames.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software faults, including MS Teams, Office 365, VPN and remote connectivity issues.
• Set up new user accounts and profiles, and support the roll‑out of new applications.
• Manage backups, email systems and licensing renewals.
• Test and evaluate new technologies and proactively maintain systems.
• Repair or replace equipment as needed and prioritize multiple open cases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a technical support role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of current IT and software trends.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts.

Required skills

• Hardware installation and configuration.
• Software installation and troubleshooting.
• Network configuration and Wi‑Fi management.
• Experience with MS Teams, Office 365, VPN and remote connectivity tools.
• Backup management and email system administration.
• Support and configuration of retail hardware such as POS terminals, barcode scanners and cash drawers.
