IT Technician

About the role

The IT Technician is the first point of contact for all user‑level IT queries for Dixstone employees in the UAE. You will ensure timely support, maintain the integrity of end‑user devices, and keep systems running smoothly across multiple office locations and yards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line support to users, responding quickly to hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain computers, peripherals, and corporate software according to specifications.
• Perform regular system backups, data recovery, and hardware repairs or replacements.
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including VPN, VLAN, and Cisco equipment.
• Create and delete user and email accounts, manage shared folder permissions, and enforce security policies.
• Diagnose outages, perform initial technical diagnostics, and escalate unresolved issues to L2 support.
• Coordinate upgrades, maintenance schedules, and equipment ordering with HQ instructions.
• De‑commission end‑of‑life equipment following environmental and local regulations.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to move between the DAFZA office, other sites, and yards as needed.
• Good knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and internet applications.
• Familiarity with corporate IT policies and local regulations.
• UAE driving licence is required.
