Japanese Chef – Luxury Hotel in Abu Dhabi

About the role

Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi is a luxury hotel delivering authentic Turkish hospitality. The Japanese Chef will lead a kitchen station, ensuring Japanese dishes are prepared to the highest standards while supporting the hotel’s culinary excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the assigned kitchen station, preparing, cooking and presenting dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Oversee ingredient preparation, sauces, garnishes and mise en place, maintaining quality, consistency and portion control.
• Train, mentor and develop junior kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures.
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards, conducting regular inspections and quality checks.
• Manage inventory for the station, monitor stock levels, minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless kitchen operations and efficient service delivery.
• Contribute to menu development, offering innovative ideas while maintaining consistency.

Required profile

• Relevant culinary experience in a luxury hotel or fine‑dining establishment.
• Strong knowledge of advanced cooking techniques and culinary practices.
• Demonstrated expertise in food safety, hygiene standards and HACCP procedures.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management and interpersonal skills in a multicultural kitchen environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to high‑volume service periods and make decisive decisions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
• Experience using kitchen management systems.
