Java Developer - Remote

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will help train next‑generation AI systems by building high‑quality backend services that feed real‑world data into learning models. No prior AI experience is required – your domain expertise is what matters.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Spring Boot.
• Architect robust microservices solutions to meet complex application requirements.
• Collaborate with the customer’s team to review technical specifications and deliver high‑quality code.
• Provide expert insights to improve performance, reliability, and security.
• Participate in code reviews and give constructive feedback.
• Document technical processes and solutions clearly.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise backend systems as needed.

Required profile

• Expert proficiency in Java programming.
• Hands‑on experience with Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture and design principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with remote, fast‑paced teams.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, data structures, and backend best practices.
