Journalist/Media Relations Specialist

About the role

The Media Relations Specialist will lead the day‑to‑day public‑relations activities for INDEX Media UAE, crafting press materials, managing media contacts and supporting the company’s brand image.

Key responsibilities

• Write and distribute press releases, feature articles, keynote and MC speeches, social‑media content and editorials in flawless English.
• Prepare online and print media reports and monitor coverage.
• Develop and execute crisis‑management plans, providing rapid response when issues arise.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, TV and radio producers, as well as with stakeholders, community groups and the public.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align communications with organisational objectives and promote products, ideas and services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Literature, Media or a related field.
• 4–5 years of experience in creative content writing and public‑relations.
• Proven ability to establish networks with local and international media outlets.
• Strong planning, organisational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
