Junior Accountant

About the role

The Junior Accountant will join CARIVA’s Finance team to support daily accounting operations. You will be responsible for accurate recording of transactions, maintaining the general ledger and assisting with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Post and process journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded correctly.
• Maintain and update accounts receivable, issue invoices and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Maintain and update accounts payable, process vendor payments and perform reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements in line with company policies.
• Prepare and submit weekly and monthly financial reports.
• Support payroll and expense review tasks as assigned.
• Assist senior accountants with month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Participate in ad‑hoc accounting projects and tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or related field; Master’s or MBA is a plus.
• 2–3 years of experience in a junior accounting or similar role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Good communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as SAP or JD Edwards (JDE).
